The question beneath the question.
Every woman I have ever coached carries a question she may have never asked out loud. It is not the surface question — the one about the job, the marriage, the schedule. It is much deeper. It is the question that has been quietly shaping her choices since she was small.
It is her Primal Question.
For some women it sounds like, Am I safe? For others, Am I loved? or Am I enough? The wording is different, but the ache is the same. We arrange our entire lives — sometimes beautifully, sometimes destructively — around trying to answer it.
Why naming it matters.
Here is what I have learned in my own life and in the lives of the women I coach: you cannot heal what you will not name. When your Primal Question stays hidden, it runs the show from the shadows. It decides who you say yes to, how much you overgive, where you disappear, and where you armor up.
But when you name it — gently, honestly, in the light — it loses its grip. You start to see that the question was never really about your worth. It was about who you asked it to.
The One who answers.
This is where faith meets the framework for me. The Primal Question is real, and it's powerful — but it was never meant to be answered by people. People will let you down. Achievements will fade. The mirror will change. The only answer that holds is the one that comes from the One who made you, who has been saying over you since before you had a name: You are seen. You are chosen. You are Mine.
Practically, this looks like self-leadership. Instead of looking outward — to people, achievements or approval — for the answer, you learn to answer your own Primal Question with a deliberate yes. You are safe. You are loved. You are enough. You stop outsourcing the answer, you choose it on purpose, and you practice saying it until it becomes the voice you live from.
Your next step
If something in you is stirring as you read this, that's not an accident. That's the part of you that already knows the question. I'd be honored to help you find it.
